Mr. Ichiro Komatsu, Ambassador of Japan and Mr. Yasushi Fukagawa, Minister made a speech at OSEC seminar

OSEC and CVCI (Chambre vaudoise du commerce et de l'industrie) held a seminar regarding the Japanese situation in Lausanne on 10 May 2011. OSEC held the same seminar in Zurich on 11 May 2011.

At the seminar, Mr. Roger Zbinden, head of Swiss Business Hub Japan and Ms. Yumiko Kijima, Deputy Head of Export Promotion explained that the part damaged by the earthquake was one part of Japan, vibrancy of whole Japan is not lost. They also mentioned that energy-saving products are in high demand in Japan. Mr. Michiaki Watanabe, Director General, JETRO Geneva gave a presentation regarding the recovery situation of Japanese infrastructure and manufacture industry.

Mr. Ichiro Komatsu, Ambassador of Japan and Mr. Yasushi Fukagawa, Minister made a speech in which they mentioned measures taken in Japan to ensure the safety of Japanese products.

There were feedbacks from participants that they could understand the situation and measures taken in Japan very well.
