Presentation of the Foreign Minister's Commendation to AGROIMPULS

Mr. Ichiro Komatsu, Ambassador of Japan presented the Foreign Minister's Commendation to AGROIMPULS on 22 September 2010 on behalf of the Minister for foreign affairs of Japan. The Foreign Minister's Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups to acknowledge their contribution to the promotion of friendly relations between Japan and other countries.

AGROIMPULS has an excellent Agricultural trainee exchange program in Switzerland and has been welcoming Japanese trainees every year since 1991 when it was established. It has been providing a number of training programs such as language training to help Japanese trainees. Also it provids a great help to establish deep bond of trust between the Japanese trainees and Swiss host farmers. AGROIMPULS contributes so much to promote mutual understanding between Japan and Switzerland through Agricultural trainee exchange program.

On the occasion of award ceremony, Mr.Walter, president of Swiss Farmer's Union which is a corporate organization of AGROIMPULS and Mr.Flückiger, president of AGROIMPULS expressed that receiving the Foreign Minister's Commendation was an honor and big encouragement to manage and continue this exchange program in the future.
