2016 Spring Conferment of Decoration

On April 29, 2016, the Government of Japan announced the foreign recipients of the 2016 Spring Imperial Decorations. Mr. Heinrich Auwärter is one of the 91 foreign recipients and he received the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon, in recognition of his contributions to promoting friendly relations and mutual understanding between Japan and Liechtenstein.

Summary of Contributions

Mr. Auwärter has been serving as an adviser for the Japan-Liechtenstein Association (Japanisch-Liechtensteinische Gesellschaft) since 1988. He established youth exchanges with Japan and actively promoted these interactions to deepen the bonds between the two countries. In his undertakings, Mr. Auwärter has been benefitting from the support of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
