Required Documents for Temporary Visitors : Visiting relatives / friends

Please do not staple the documents

Applicants have to come to the embassy in person to apply for a visa with following documents:

 1. A valid Passport
 2. Visa Application Form 　【Sample】　
     ※(2 x Visa Application Forms: Russia, CIS countries or Georgia nationals)
 3. Passport-sized photograph　45mm ×35mm  (taken within the last 6 months)
     ※(2 x Photographs: Russia, CIS countries or Georgia nationals)
 4. Flight Information
    Confirmation slip, certificate, or other documents to prove your reservation or a schedule of planned flight (/cruise) with entry(/departure） date into (/from) Japan
 5. Proof of financial resources   One of the following documents:
    ●  Bank statements of the last 3 months
    ●  Salary statements of the last 3 months
 6. Documents to prove kindship（friendship）
    ● Visiting relatives: Birth certificate, Marriage certificate, Japanese family register
    ● Visiting acquaintances/friends: Photos, Letters, E-mails
 7. Residence permit (Aufenthaltsbewilligung)
     Your residence permit should be valid until you come back in Switzerland from Japan

 8.  Letter of invitation
 9.  Proof of Inviter’s residence status in Japan. One of the following documents:
    ●  A copy of residence card (both side) if the inviter is not Japanese
    ● A copy of driver’s license or a certificate of Residence (Juminhyo) if the inviter is Japanese
10. Schedule of stay


(Prepared by the guarantor in Japan if the inviter in Japan covers the cost of trip)

11. Letter of guarantee
12. Proof of financial resources  One of the following documents concerning the guarantor:
    ●  A certificate of income or taxation issued by municipal office
    ●  A certificate of deposit balance
    ●  A copy of the counterfoil of final tax return with the seal of reception of the Tax Office
    ●  A certificate of tax payment
